eFragSonic Wins Blizzard SCII World Championship Series USA Qualifier
Terran it up as one of the best players in all of America, EverFrag's very own Sonic has just qualified for the SC2 World Championship Series U.S. Nationals! Sonic will be receiving a free trip to MLG Anaheim where he will compete up against some of worlds finest in both the U.S. Nationals and MLG Anaheim's open bracket. Sonic managed to take down Impulses Phantaxx in the Semi-finals to secure himself a berth in the finals against Evil Genius' very own LzGamer.

Game One- Metropolis

The series began on the controversial map of GSL Metropolis, known for the issue it causes on less capable computers. Sonic opened with a proxy barracks in order to end the game quickly and spare his computer the stress, but it was shut down quickly by Lz. Despite having to adapt on the fly, Sonic managed to adapt quickly into a double armor build, from which he built up a massive mechanical and well upgraded force. With banshees clearing the way, Sonic moved across the map with a near maxxed army. Unfortunately, this composition did not include a Raven, as Lz was able to amass just enough burrowed roaches in order to break the first push, and despite a worker deficit turn on the aggression. From there Sonic was hard pressed to defend, as rogue roach squadrons picked apart the mech forces and ultimately forced a gg, pulling Lz into an early lead.

Game 2- Shakuras Plateau

Sonic chose Shakuras Plateau as his map of choice, a map he feels extremely comfortable with. To begin he put down a proxy rax along with one at his walling, and Lz was forced to assume a 1 rax fast expand. As the bunkers dropped in his nat Lz panicked, sending almost a dozen workers before his hatch was near complete, putting him at an economic deficit. From here Sonic took both his natural and build a 3rd CC, catapulting him into an economic lead. Amassing a sizable bio force, Sonic moved across the map, and though he was cleaned up by banes, further delayed Lz's 3rd and forced more lings. As the game progressed Sonic maintained the supply lead, taking his third earlier and building up an impregnable marine tank medivac force. With smart maneuvering he was able to cut the map in half, sieging up between the watchtowers and forcing Lz into a defensive position. Recognizing the vulnerabilities of the Ling Infestor composition his zerg opponent had chose, Sonic began picking apart the 4th and main locations with drops. A double drop forced the entirety of the zerg army back, and sonic siezed the opportunity with a vengeance. He sprinted his tank line forward, cutting off the zerg forces at the top of the map from their own main and natural, and despite repeated attempts to break, held the line and forced the GG, tying the series.

Game 3 - Ohana

EG's LzGamer chose Ohana as the map that would decide who would be going to Anaheim to compete in the most prestigous tournament yet in SC2, and who would be logging off in disappointment. The game started off standard enough, with a 1 rax expand and hatch first builds respectively. Sonic chose to vary his style by throwing in a delayed cloak banshee of an expansion into 1/1/1 build. This would set the pace for the entire game. Lz, realizing the threat that the banshees pose, scrambled to react, but spore crawlers and queens couldn't prevent the loss of almost a dozen workers. Wrongly assuming that off the back of the banshee opener, Sonic was amassing a mech based composition, Lz chose to heavily invest in roaches and their upgrades. It was not until Sonic took his third base and began to move across the map with a bio tank force including a strong contigent of marauders, did he realize his mistake. As the terran forces barreled down the left side of the map, Lz quickly chose to counterattack the 3rd base, in an attempt to forestall the impeding stimpack fueld ball of death. Sonic instantly caught wind of the attack, lifting his third base and saving most of the scvs, while attempting to make a stand at the natural. The reinforcements of Sonic proved incapable of dealing with the roach force, but just as Lz's roaches had extended into the natural, the cavalry arrived. Almost 100 supply of stimpacked marine marauder charged into the expo, driving the roaches back into the 3rd base location. Desperate for escape, the meat of LzGamer's force was shredded under the focused fire of the terran army. Realizing his decisive victory, Sonic once again marched across the map, making a beeline for the 3rd base of the zerg. Having been completely unprepared for such a composition, Lz attempts to rush for broodlords and infestors, and relies on a ling counterattack into the 3rd base, a mere shadow of the roach army that was destroyed there just seconds ago. The reinforcements of Sonic clean up the ling force, as the main army sieges up and unleashes volleys on the 3rd. A couple fungals are able to clean up a decent amount of the terran army as the 3rd falls. Gasping for air, Lz desperately attacks into the entrenched Terran forces, and is cut down almost before the lings lay a scratch on the armor of the victorious marines. Sonic wins. GG.

Soon after Sonic was interviewed by the casters of playhem. His excitement was palpable in his answer to the very first question - "Sonic, you just won a trip to MLG Anaheim and a spot to compete in the WCS national championships, how do you feel?" Sonic:"........F#@K YEAH!". This was truly a great experience for Sonic and we of Team EverFrag are beyond estatic for his success in this qualifer! Expect to see some amazing things out of this young American player as he continues to excel and develop in this rapidly growing eSports scene. Check out Sonic on his twitter @ www.twitter.com/eFragSonic and give him your love! Sonic Fighting!!!

When interviewed USA Tyler “DirtyHorton” had this to say about his teams past accomplishments, “I'm not surprised how well we've performed, considering the very strong roster we're boasting. We're a great group of guys that play well together. With our style of play, I personally think we have a strong advantage of becoming of the top teams next season. We have a lot of confidence in our roster, and we hope that our abilities will help us surpass the other professional teams in the upcoming season.”
--------------------------------------------
Currently the everFrag.CSS team is preparing to tear up the beautiful country side of Chino, California, Counter Strike style. Their next tournament is coming up just around the corner; OG LAN 5! The team is impatiently waiting to dominate their competition and claim the 2000$+ prize pool.
“Prize Pot: we’ll keep you updated. Bobby’s working hard to get you guys a good prize pot, but as it stands it’s starting at $2,000 (without sponsors) if all 16 Teams show up. However, keep in mind that the last OG LAN (4.0) had a prize pot of $6,000.” (http://odyssey-gaming.com/events/og-lan-5/)
This upcoming event hosted by Odyssey Gaming is going to be one of the larger e-sports tournaments for the eFrag team.
With outstanding records in past seasons and many e-sports tournaments, we have high expectations for eFrag.CSS in this upcoming season. When asked what audiences could expect from them in this upcoming tournament USA Tyler “DirtyHorton” replied, "We can assure you that the eFrag Source team will perform at the highest of our skill level, also knowing that we are competing against many of the best teams in source today. We are confident in our ability to take the lead over the other competitors.”

 everFrag Welcomes StarCraft II Team
Starcraft 2 Team Announcement + Matches

Hey everyone!

My name is Andrew ‘Reboot’ Miles and it is my privilege to introduce the new Starcraft 2 squad for EverFrag! Led by Steve ‘Freedom’ Rush and myself, we have joined forces with EverFrag in order to advance our skills and continue our drive to become one of the best teams in North America and the world.

The first match coming up for the new team will be this Sunday at 5 est. The Legion Team League has attracted some of the best teams in North America including Convergence Gaming, NrG and Team Legion. The format consists of two stages: the regular season and the play-offs. For the regular season teams were placed in one of four divisions, each containing 6 teams. Each division will hold a round robin, and the two teams with the best record will advance to the playoffs: a single elimination bracket.

EverFrag has been placed in Division D along with NrG, Hugs and Kisses, Soviet Gaming, Fever Clan and Future Talent Art Control Team. The stiffest challenge in the division may be from NrG: a team with a ton of name recognition and the talent to back it up. In the last few months though their results have slacked off quite a bit and they are looking for a chance to climb back onto the winner’s podium. Hugs and Kisses will also be a significant threat. By defeating Fever Clan 5-1 they have solidified themselves as one of the top teams in the division and combining that with their past performances they may be one of the top teams in the league.

The team has the habit of playing top teams and receiving hard brackets in the past, and looking at their first match this will be no different. Their first opponent will be the favorite to win the division: NrG. The team has played them once before in the z33k team series and managed to pull a come from behind victory to win 4-3. NrG will surely want to get revenge on this loss and start off their season with a victory. But everFrag also have something to fight for. This is not only their first match in the league, but also their first match representing EverFrag. And team wants to break into the scene with a bang!

I sat down with our newest player Kyle ‘DrTechoff’ Swagger to talk about the upcoming matches.

eFragReboot:
Hey DrTechoff! First tell us a bit about yourself.

DrTechoff:
My name is Kyle, I live in Toronto and I'm a Terran player. I've been playing SC2 for about a half a year now, and prior to that I was a big DOTA player.

eFragReboot:
Nice! You are the newest member of the team, how are you liking everything so far?

DrTechoff:
I really like the team. The environment is great. Everyone is very friendly and eFrag has some very good players that I can practice with.

eFragReboot:
EverFrag is playing in the Legion Team League over the course of the next few months. What teams are you looking out for?

DrTechoff:
NrG is the team to look out for with regards to our group. I think they're the clear favourites to win the group, but I believe eFrag can come out on top with some hard work. Otherwise, I believe our team definitely has second place locked down for sure, with maybe some competition from XOXO [Hugs and Kisses]

eFragReboot:
You are going to be our starting player in our first match vs NrG. How are you feeling about the match?

DrTechoff:
I am confident that I can do well. At the moment I am pretty comfortable in all of my match ups, with my TvZ definitely being my strongestI don't want to disappoint eFrag. I want to deliver results for my team debut and get us off to a good start against NrG.

eFragReboot:
Awesome! Good luck on Sunday and thanks for the interview!

DrTechoff:
Thank you very much sir it was my pleasure.

The match will be broadcasted on www.everfrag.com on Sunday at 5 est. Also, watch for team interviews, match recaps and more coming in the near future!

everFrag.BF Gearing up for Plantronics $4,000 Tournament
everFrag.BF3 is gearing up for another tournament with prizes ranging in the $4,000 range. If everFrag can take the top place, each of their four starters will receive $500 each in prizing.

The recent Newegg Wanfest tournament, which everFrag proudly finished top three only had $2,000 in prizing. This could be one of the last Battlefield 3 tournaments that offers prizing with this kind of money. "We feel as if this tournament can provide some serious benefits should we place top three again, not only for the everFrag e-sports brand name, but for our team as the opportunity to win pretty good prizes and money is definitely certain" - As always, when new games are released prominent companies like to throw their corporate funding around for the popular hot titles, it's simply a marketing gimmick to get people to look at their site, and buy their products. "Our BF3 team feels that this could definitely be one of the last big money tournaments for this game." Leagues like CEVO, who have a storied past with the counter-strike and call of duty series of games by hosting Professional and Amateur seasoned leagues will most likely not pick this game up, similar in comparison to the snub Battlefield 2 got way back in 2006. "It's unfortunate that popular leagues like CEVO and ESEA will never pick up a Battlefield game, but it's really because of the fact that the game is not ready for e-Sports." As of now, there is no known way to record, and no future for mods.. that isn't really a good place to begin with for e-Sports. One can only hope that Counter Strike: Global Offensive will be the e-Sports saving grace, but that is for another discussion on a different day.

Until January 30th though, everFrag.BF will take it easy, but will also be preparing for the level of competition, which USA Nicholas believes will be elevated "More money, more teams, and definitely more quality teams. When you start talking about $2,000 as your first place prize, the pot thickens. I expect to see teams like 20ID, Next LeveL, HOT, Rival Gaming, Epsilon, Massive e-Sports, Dynamic, and others return with a fury. Especially teams like 20ID, HOT, nL, Dynamic, and Massive after their early exits." When asked about his teams lineup changes if any he responded: "No, as tork said in our Podcast if you listened, we don't expect any lineup changes. We will be more than happy to have Deth and Static as our two quality backups, who both could arguably start on any top team. Our starters will consist of Tork, Limitless, Nicolas, and myself" It won't be easy for everFrag.BF but resiliency is one thing this lineup is mean't to handle. Don't forget, their starting lineup is full of three Battlefield veterans, and two professional Call of Duty players. Every person in the lineup has at least won a championship in one game or another, and two have taken cash prizes from Professional brackets in leagues like CEVO. With another accomplishment under their belt by finishing 3rd overall out of 145 teams, you can bet this everFrag team will fix their mistakes and take another crack at it on the 30th when bracket play begins, as they square off vs. their first opponent of the tournament. "You can bet we'll be fired up that night and ready to return to action."
